This rifle was built to duplicate the work of Isaac Berlin, The rifle was commissioned by a direct relative of Isaac Berlin for his son who is also named Isaac Berlin. The rifle was built in 54 cal. as a hunting gun to be used in the field. The original rifle is published with a round face English lock, however, it seemed that a Germanic lock would be more appropriate for this rifle. A early colonial one screw lock from R.E.
