This cherry stocked New England fowler is incredibly slim in the wrist and quite slim overall. The 47” barrel is original and has not been stretched. It is about 62 cal. and is signed with the initials W.F. The gun shows a lot of French influence, as was common with guns of this type. The forestock has been replaced from the entry pipe forward. The lock has been re-converted to flint as it originally was. The side plate carries a date of 1807 which I believe is original and correct for this gun. A nice example of a slim New England fowler $1,600 + S & H
